Terms and conditions of use

The Data Center of Deep Geothermal Energy (CDGP) promotes research by providing access to data on behalf of their respective owners (PROVIDER). The PROVIDER defines the distribution rules and the ‘how to cite’ section, described in the metadata attached to the data.

Definitions

DATA: Includes all data, digital maps, text, graphics, drawings, diagrams, photographs, physical geological samples, and other materials provided by CDGP and PROVIDERS.

PROJECT: Refers to the research/project of the USER. Depending on the PROVIDER’s rules, the USER may need to describe the purpose and termination date before data access approval.

Conditions of Use

By using CDGP services, the USER unconditionally accepts these Terms and Conditions. The CDGP administrators may revise these terms without prior notice.

Rights and Obligations

  • The PROVIDER grants the USER a free, non-exclusive right to use the DATA solely for the PROJECT.
  • The USER agrees to:
    • Use the DATA solely for the non-commercial PROJECT and not sell results.
    • Apply no changes or corrections unless authorized by the PROVIDER.
    • Not divulge the DATA, even in abstract form, without authorization.
    • Seek PROVIDER authorization before publishing research results based on DATA.
    • Acknowledge DATA ownership and permission in publications.
    • Provide the PROVIDER with a free copy of any corresponding paper or report.
    • Erase or return the DATA upon PROJECT completion.

Special Conditions

Under the CDGP LabEx G-Eau-Thermie Profonde Project, DATA is provided free of charge under these conditions. If DATA mobilization requires additional effort (e.g., reproduction costs), the PROVIDER will inform the USER and charge accordingly upon consent.

The right to use DATA expires with the PROJECT termination date, if applicable.
